Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba, has many life stories and lessons to tell.

In one of his interviews, he gave a piece of advice for people who are looking to start their own business.

During your 20s, go make enough mistakes… and learn from them!

When you are in your 20s, make enough mistakes.

Don’t worry!

You fall…. you stand up, you fall….. enjoy and learn from it!

Experiment and try out new jobs. Just do anything!

Dare to fail!

Because you are young and can afford to fail.

Take this opportunity instead to gain the experience.

During your 30s, follow somebody

When you are ready and gained some experience, you should have an idea of what you want to work as.

Want to be an entrepreneur?

Go work in a small company.

In a big company, you learn about processes.

You are like a gear in a part of a big machinery.

Your learning will be limited.

However, when you work in a small company, you learn the passions, you realise your dreams, you learn to do many things at once.

You’ll learn many skills that are essential to building up your future business.

When you are in your 30s, find a boss which you can follow.

A good boss teaches you differently.

So it is not which company you follow, but which boss you follow.

During your 30s and 40s, time to think clearly

During this period, you have learnt the many skills and gained experience.

It is time to think clearly if you want to work for yourself if you want to be an entrepreneur.

Find your niche and work on it.

During your 40s and 50s, you must do the things you are good at

Don’t try to jump into a new niche. It’s too late.

You may be successful, but the chances of dying are much higher.

So when you are in your 40s and 50s, think how you can focus on your skills that you are good at.

During your 50s to 60s, work for the young people

Young people can do better than you.

They have the energy and drive.

When you are in your 50s to 60s, work for them, learn from them.

So invest in these young people, rely on them and make sure that they are good.

During your 60s, spend time on yourself

It’s too late for you to change.

You have less energy but gained more wisdom.

Take time to relax and enjoy your life.

Have some things on your bucket list that is still pending to accomplish?

Do the things you really want to do.

Be happy, stay healthy.
